Inheritance Tax - Beyond Drafting Wills

5 Hours CPD

This course is designed to help will writers who already deal with clients that face an Inheritance Tax liability in their practices understand the Inheritance Tax planning solutions available beyond drafting wills. It is designed to understand how some of the wider Inheritance Tax planning schemes work; how they might be applicable to your clients and how you can use this information to make good quality commercial referrals to IFAs.

The course assumes a good working knowledge of Inheritance Tax planning and will not focus on drafting matters but principally, the financial services solutions available to our clients that we, as will writers, can identify and use to make commercially driven referrals (and to service referrals from financial advisors).

This course will cover:

  • Inheritance Tax Overview
  • Gifting Based Solutions
  • Discounted Gift plans
  • Loan Plans
  • Outright Gift into Trust and its Hybrids
  • Protection
